This FALL has been picture perfect! Last year at this time we were battling random cold fronts and hot spells that left the leaves confused and seemed to change and drop WAY too quickly to get a full month of photoshoots! But this year I have had 3 weddings and 4 engagement photoshoots to date and don’t want the colorful leaves to ever end!

Last weekend I got to meet up with Rachel and Dylan for a gorgeous UVA lawn photoshoot. These Hoos were effortlessly easy to hang out with, everything from their coordinated outfits, amazing chemistry, and filling me in on all the wedding details, we were basically finishing each other sentences by the end! These two have the most contagious smiles, and were seriously so natural in front of the camera, I just had to stand there while they made each other laugh.

All afternoon we chased around the colorful leaves, like a 3 year old attracted to something shiny.. seriously we would see a peek of yellow through the buildings and hunt it down across the street to take photos in front of! Everyone knows that Charlottesville in the Fall is a busy photo scene, but the Lawn was on a whole other level this day, we saw at least 5 photoshoots just on grounds, plus crowds of kids playing in piles of leaves were were hoping to use as a backdrop! Despite all of those things, I had to strategically find some quiet corners and creative angles to avoid getting people in the shots.. I’m pretty proud of the result, and only photoshopped people out of 3 pics! WINNING!

Rachel and Ryan wedding is a little less than a year away, but i’m hoping we can find a way to hang out again before that! Check out a few of my favorites from their colorful engagement session below!
