Last weekend I got to hang out in Lauren and Grant in DC for their engagement session and seriously it was a dream! Even the dreary weather, flooded streets and city traffic were totally worth it to get to hang out with these two!

From the first time we talked on the phone I know we would would have a blast together! Lauren and Grant have the sweetest, fun loving, supportive, and balanced relationship. They are seriously the perfect compliment to the other… Their laid back attitudes, love of pun t-shirts (tank tanks are gonna take over the world… you heard it hear first) They even have the same taste in underwear… Seriously, they wore matching undies for their photoshoot that we or course got a little peek picture of!!

One of my favorite parts of there engagement photoshoot was getting to see the the way that Grant admires Lauren. Their smiles were so contagious, and outfits were on point! They rocked the red white and blue… coincidently, for there historic DC photoshoot. We started with a few waterfront monument and then headed to the capital..which is FOR SURE Grant’s favorite part of the session. The Capital is his favorite building and the overcast sky made the stunning architecture and indoor lights glow!

We had to fight through rain and wind, and water main breaks! YIKES… but in true husband in the making fashion, Lauren hopped on Grants back so she could save her shoes from the flooded streets! Getting to photograph these two felt like reconnecting with old friends. After our session we stuffed our faces with some delicious pizza…cause you know we earned it! I can’t wait to hang with these two again for their wedding day! I know the next year will fly by!
