It’s officially feeling like FALL.. and this gorgeous Keswick Vineyard wedding took it to the next level! Everything from the colorful florals, burgundy bridesmaids, and cooler weather set the stage for a perfect wedding day!

Alexis and Geoff’s wedding day was filled with so much love… From their large extended families, and the support of all of their parents, the morning was buzzing with anticipation and joy that this day was finally here! Im typically very composed and focused on wedding days but on Saturday I got choked up more than once! First, just getting to hang with Alexis the morning of her wedding she was overflowing with love….she just kept repeating “ I have never been this happy, I feel like my heart is going to burst” plus the fact that her bridesmaids were constantly getting choked up just looking at Alexis as she put the final touches on!

Alexis and Geoff’s love story began in college where they attended cross town schools. Alexis attended Longwood and Geoff was at Hampdon Sydney, and were introduced for the first time one football weekend. After multiple setups, Alexis admits she even turned him down a few times, but after some friendly nudges she has never looked back! You could tell that she was marrying her best friend! Geoff is her number one support system and encourager and she fills the same role for him. Watching these two laugh, and love on each other during their reception was so special. It didn’t matter they were surrounded by 100s of people, they were completely in the moment with each other.. I am so thankful I was able to capture their incredible wedding day, and can’t wait to share some of the details below!

I was in love with these wedding day details, ALL the fall colors, pops of red, flannel shirts and creamy lace! Geoff surprised Alexis with a capitals jersey and perfume to start her wedding day right, and she had a big surprise for him later during the reception…
This next photo is the first instance that really got me choked up! The atmosphere in her getting ready room was already buzzing with excitement and nerves. Then Alexis’s mom told me about a very special hanger she hoped to incorporate. She found this antique wooden hanger that belonged to Alexis’s grandfather who has passed away… He had written his name on the side and asked if I could hang her wedding dress on this heirloom and take a few photos to surprise Alexis. When we brought the dress back in getting ready room and told Alexis to to come look at it, she was overcome with emotion and surprise! It was incredibly touching to know that her Grandfather was still with her in spirit on her wedding day!

Alexis has such a wonderful family dynamic. Although her parents are divorced, they remain great friends, and have both found new partners! It was so wonderful to see all of the love and support the entire family showered her with on her wedding morning. She decided to surprise both of her dads with a first look and share in walking her down the aisle!
This was my first time photographing a wedding at Keswick! And OH BOY was it a dream! There is so much variety in backdrops mountains, vineyards, lake, gorgeous estate, cream colored walkways,.. every photographers dream! Alexis and Geoffrey loved exploring in the vineyard and taking a few moments alone as newlyweds before getting the party started with their guests!
The night continued with dancing, and chanting, and singing with all of their friends, family, and a few extra surprises! If you couldn’t already tell, Alexis and Geoff are HUGE capitals fans! So Alexis decided to Surprise her Hubby with a Capitals cake to cut… filled with Funfetti! The best kind of wedding cake! She did warn him about getting any black icing on her dress! He even got an extra surprise during the garter toss, where she iced him with a beer!
This evening was incredible fun to be able to capture, the amount of guests swarming the dance floor and seeing these two families become one was so special! It was like a giant game of twister, constantly switching dance partners, spinning, twisting, and trying not to get knocked out with swinging arms, kept me on my toes all night!

Cheers to Mr. & Mrs. Gelozin! And a big thank you to the amazing team of vendors for helping this day come together perfectly!
