The final touch of Fall in D.C. This stunning engagement session featured iconic views with pops of color at golden hour in Northern Virginia. Engagement sessions in the city, always add another level or travel, road closures, and unpredictable backdrops. When Caroline & Mike suggested a few of their favorite locations they typically walk their pup around town.

After the initial shock to see that the Capital (our first location) was fully roped off, we quickly pivoted to get a few wide shots of the historic area and hopped over to the best hidden gem in the middle of the city. Constitution Gardens was surrounded by water with views of the Washington monument in the background. I didn’t even know this hidden gem of green space existed. With willow trees outlining the sidewalk, it was perfectly secluded for a romantic end to their engagement session. We got the most perfect end to golden hour of Fall colors reflecting off the water to look like a painting!
