Meredith & Chris had the most lovely,  lavender filled wedding Charlottesville mountains. The Market at Grelen features an array of greenhouses, rolling hills, and vibrant colors around every turn. We started this spring wedding at the cozy Spottswood Lodge getting ready cottage down the road. The girls were quietly finessing their dresses and getting hair and makeup touches when I arrived. I knew they need a little energy boost so the champagne pop was perfect to lift all of the pre-wedding jitter nerves!

When it was time for their first look, Meredith and Chris were adorable at complimenting each others outfits and sharing their excitement for the day. With all of the morning portraits we even stole a few moments with their adorable fur babies!  Their springer spaniel pups, were the sweetest flower dogs,  stealing pets from all of their guests as they made their way down the aisle!

Meredith and Chris share a heartbreaking common bond of both having lost a parent. Meredith had her mom walk her down the aisle and added a few traditions and memorials in their departed parents honor. The love and hilarious inside jokes between this couple, made their wedding day so special. Their friends and family were perfect at easing nerves as the dark clouds started to creep in! Luckily their wedding day was rain free and allowed for the outdoor ceremony of their dreams.

  

We snuck up to the orchard overlook for the final sunset portraits and the couple was able to enjoy a few quiet moments alone to soak up the joy of being newlyweds! Just as we were about to head back down the mountain, the most incredibly vibrant sun popped out from behind the clouds. We quickly jumped off of the cart for one final moment to soak up the view overlooking their reception! 

After the vows, and a lively cocktail hour in the greenhouse courtyard it was time to enter their dreamy open air reception tent! The lavender and handcrafted reception decor including some of the most unique centerpieces. Meredith and her mom hand crafted an assortment of birdhouses replicating memorable location. Plus the textured linens, whimsical seating and cake that looked too beautiful to eat, it was the perfect fairy tail wedding for this couple!
