Winter in Virginia is always full of unexpected weather twists. For Emma and Jacob’s Richmond engagement session at Libby Hill Park we had one of those classic overcast December days but were lucky enough to have some warm temperatures to keep their session cozy! One of my favorite things about Virginia in that the end of Fall holds onto its colorful leaves for as long as possible. Even the orange and brown leaves cluttering the ground can provide amazing color for portraits, which lead to some of my all time favorites from this hilly city overlook.

Libby Hill park was the perfect backdrop for our winter engagement session, with the unobstructed views of the city in the background we were able to capture so many fun moments for this local Richmond Couple! I can’t wait to photograph their incredible wedding at Castle Hill wedding this summer!
